How does everybody feel about DQ’s success as the Cowboys’ DC?

For me, it’s bittersweet. I can’t stand the Cowboys and I’m hoping for yet another one-and-done for that team, but clearly that defense is clicking and it’s tough for me to root against DQ after some of the great memories he helped create 5-7 years ago.

I personally find it hard to feel much but respect for that defense that has been seriously fun to watch this season. How do you guys feel? Are you happy for DQ getting the most out of his defense? Do you feel nothing at all? Do you miss what DQ brought to the Falcons organization?

I wish we could have him as DC, Shanny as OC and… fuck I dunno for HC. Someone to not get in their way? Reid?

After watching the Seahawks cowboys game, the defense isn’t that good. Maybe it’s good against bad teams but that secondary was lacking against that sometimes decent Seattle offense. The pass rush is good tho

ITT: People laughing at DQ’s defense giving up 35 points to Seattle not realizing Dallas is still a top 5 defense in points allowed.

DQ is one of those guys who has a proven track record as a DC, but may just not be cut out for HC. I think he may get a second shot as one, but apart from the year that Shanahan made Matt Ryan into an MVP, the Falcons were never much more than just “okay” with DQ at the helm.

He’s an expert and a brilliant mind at the end of the day.

It just wasn’t always enough, and didn’t pan out. He had his moments as a HC and will probably be a HC again elsewhere.

We need people with that Kobe mentality. Those who know exactly how to win. For example, Kirby Smart at Georgia has this, it’s all the guys knows. He is him.
