I don’t think the U.S. leaders watch enough TV and movies. Clearly she is the real psycho in the family.

She’s just angry because the west keeps referring to her as “Kim’s sister” instead of her actual name. 😆

It is pretty silly considering that Kim is the family name, so she does have the name. It’d be like calling Casey Affleck “Affleck’s brother”

Ha, that’s the way it was early in Casey’s career, before we all found out he was the better actor.

The West checking in. I’ve lived in the US and various European nations. While we have vastly different ideas of how to run our own countries, we’re still generally of one mind when it comes to our thoughts on North Korea, PRC, etc. So I’m ok with lumping us all into one big moniker.

Yeah even China doesn’t like North Korea. They’re just the annoying guy you have to accept because…

Idk, he gets on other people’s nerves more, I guess.

Is it though? Never once saw anyone complain about that. Especially when countries in the West call themselves West.

As someone who was born and lives in “the west”: I genuinely couldn’t give less of a shit.

          Don’t try to manufacture outrage.

So the western news went - North Korea launched a completely non functional and useless satellite and for some reason we object to that.

Space junk is pollution, it’s bad for scientists who study space as well as space photographers, and it’s extremely dangerous for astronauts. I don’t know why we wouldn’t object to this.

              yea right!

I’m sure north Korea launching A satellite pollutes more than all the launches from US combined.

I also think the US should be launching less stuff. The difference either way is that the US is putting up functional items with thrusters to help it move around and avoid obstacles while North Korea is putting up junk that will just ram into stuff.

Notably, the US has always been hypocritical, calling them out for that doesn’t actually mean anything anymore. Everyone knows the US sucks already, this time they just happened to suck and be right about how we shouldn’t be letting nonfunctioning hazards be launched into space.

okay so what if their launch was a failure? they are allowed to try and fail. they might learn from this and launch again and have something useful.

Why is North Korea condemned for doing absolutely normal activities every state engages in?

    Wow, more satellites? Okay then.

Threatening the rest of the world with more satellites is like threatening Austrian with a schnitzel. Simply doesn’t work.

Some country leaders deserve to get assassinated.

Some deserve to not even try to seek alternate diplomatic tactics.

And some, namely the whole Kim family, don’t deserve for us to even WANT to try to be peaceful.

I mean they’re seemingly not dangerous, but the way they run their own country still earns this treatment. And they need to be killed twice if they do become dangerous.

Has the UN banned DPRK specifically from launching satellites? It seems like they are saying they are not negotiating their right to do what other countries also have the right to do (launch satellites)
