Is this a dig or just a casual statement?
Seen the incident a few times, The refs 100 percent thought… I can’t and don’t want to attempt to keep up with play so he has blown the whistle. Simon Hooper just seems unfit as a referee, he struggles to keep up in games and it effects his decision making.
Why are managers and players not aloud to criticize the referees? What’s the rational behind that?
So he said the Mikel Arteta statement without saying the actual statement and avoided the punishment. Pep might have created a new template here.
Really hope from here on out all instances of shit talking a piss poor ref is just referred to as “doing an Arteta”
I think his reaction would have been very different if they had lost due a decision like that.
It’s also a way of saying that Arteta was correct in his rants.
I doubt it’s a dig. He and Arteta are good mates.
Pep tossing out some random fire at Arteta could get hilarious.
IMO I think this is a dig at the FA about what happened to Arteta for questioning a really terrible decision. He’s saying he feels the same way as Arteta, but knows he will get in trouble for saying the same kind of thing

Watch the interview. He said no comment and then proceeded to talk about it for several minutes lol like an episode of Arrested Development
Proper cheeky that
This ain’t a dig at all, he’s indirectly stating that he wants to say how shit the refs were but knows not to as the League will try fuck him over for criticising the refs
I can’t wait for all managers to use this new saying to avoid charges from the FA hahaha
Arteta did the dirty work, this is a clever way of saying the word without saying it because everyone knows what he meant but he’s not gonna be suspended and/or fined.
He and Arteta are mates and probably are going to have a laugh about it next time they meet.
