1 full week now into having my OLED LD. Previously sold my LCD.

Assuming one buys a Steam Deck because of daily responsibilities and life alone. Then consider the total time you would spend on the deck. After a long day of work. The few hours left after kids asleep. The few hours after partners content.

You deserve the superior OLED screen considering this is likely a full time substitute of a PS5/PC

Gaming experience and speed is far superior and noticeable than LCD

Heat and fan noise is reduced compared to LCD

Battery is superior and so important considering we primarily bought this for the purpose of mobility.

We’re all going to die one day.

You deserve the OLED! Don’t buy LCD as first timer. LCD remnants, seriously consider it!

I wasn’t gonna buy the OLED in the first place as I’d rather wait for a real SD2. I’m really happy with the LCD, still. It most certainly hasn’t replaced my PC or my PS5.

This post makes so many completely baffling assumptions based on OP’s personal tastes while looking down at the “lower status” LCD owners that it is ultimately the worst piece of marketing the OLED could get.

    Yikes.

I spent close to 1000 dollars on my LCD steam deck. I am not made of money. I am very happy and content with the one I have.

No, a 7% increase is not “far superior and noticeable”

As an an Original Switch to OLED Switch user…No You Don’t. Looks nice for 10 minutes, then you start questioning your purchasing decisions.

As another comment stated, these posts seem like an ad. I legit looked for the “Sponsored” tag and couldn’t find it. It’s that good

I’m not getting a new steam deck until the steam deck two comes out. I’m content with what I have already lol

Having had both the LCD and now the OLED-- it’s so much better and all of the upgrades you mention have been tangibly felt.

The noise/heat reduction is insane. I don’t notice battery life as much since I usually charge after one playing session anyway, but it’s definitely improved. The screen is just gorgeous.

We are not the same. I occasionally play my SD while my daughter decides she wants to play by herself. Meanwhile I’m just on my couch next to the charger. Works exactly as I need it to.
