(PREVIEW) After yesterdays surprise (but not entirely unpredicted) breakaway win, Philipsen will surely be even more motivated to pull a break back for a sprint.
But a hilly profile will surely make it harder than yesterday, and with few other teams likely to help out this is probably one for the break. So could be a hard fought start.
That was an entertaining stage to watch. The fight for the break was great and I am glad to see them make it to the end.
Woke up this morning thinking about what Mohoric said in the interview, the emotions he showed.
I love it when a rider talks about more than: yeah, I won an I’m so happy.
And if you haven’t seen it yet, here is part of it.

Ps I wanted to post this as a separate post, but for some reason I can’t add a photo even if I resize it to 300x400 and a photo is required to post it.
I can’t imagine how much a colleague dying at work would suck the fun out of a job. Props to them all for climbing back on. We celebrate the hardmen for their physical resilience but that’s some mental strength.
Oh and I can’t be the only one happy that Philipsen didn’t win again. The way he tried to control the race on Thursday really ticked me off.
I think the breakaways stayed away just to annoy him 😂
He’s entitled to pretend to be a big man if he wants. It just makes it super funny to me when he fails. Yeah rooting against him too, he’ll probably get paris anyhow.
I want Pedersen to beat him on the last few meters 😀
