Yesterday’s whistle between Spurs and MC which stopped the counter attack was really furious. I can think of no reasons for such a “mistake” - can it be defined as a mistake? People started blaming for game fixing by referee and obviously this is not drafted from nothing.
I said at some point that’s I’d believe they were not corrupt when Man City or Newcastle had a key decision go against them, and now I hold my hands up and say they are not corrupt.
They are just bloody incompetent.
Disband the PGMOL and get foreign refs in .
Incompetency doesn’t mean corruption you would need additional info to prove.
Pretty sure this is the chickens coming to roost from neglecting the career progression of the referees through the lower leagues leading to there being less of a talent pool to choose from
If fans have solid evidence, the criticism will not just stay at Twitter or Reddit. What I want to say, the performance from referees are indeed justifying such kind of blame almost every match week.
Decisions in favour of City: oil money corruption.
Decisions against City: Also corruption, based on, um, anyway, cOrrUpTioN
Human element for this troll
Corrupt in favour of who, or what?

There is a simple reason for these mistakes, complete incompetence by people who have clearly never played the sport, whether it’s at the top level, for an academy, sunday league, or 5 a side, anyone who plays the game understands the clear mistakes they’re making.
These referees seemingly don’t and are using a rulebook that’s been written in a way that means there’s very little in terms of black and white.
And a complete lack of accountability for the PGMOL means there’s no incentive for them to actually try and improve their game, nor for the PGMOL to train the referees to a higher level
It was just a mistake. People make mistakes.
Its not corruption, its just bad refs.
And i wonder if… you complained about the bad refs when city was winning their titles and not having issues ;)Subjectively I am so happy to see MC getting the disadvantage that potentially cost them 2 points. But the referee problem itself should be addressed in general.
If you are still wondering, you could read the old posts where I blame the same when MC goal vs Fulham ridiculously stood.
I’m sorry. Is this not the “home” of football? Grown men that spent their lives playing and watching the game are actually bad and incompetent at judging the game? I find this to be absolute paradoxical thinking. And it’s complete bullshit.
It’s much more likely - and on display nearly every week - that each one of these guys has a bias based on the cultish supporter’s behavior around the sport, and the need to protect their own, in general. “He’s a mate” was one of the most telling statements I’d ever heard.
Jesus Christ, why is everyone’s response to a shit decision to cry ‘corruption’.
OP grow the fuck up.
I bet you’re the kind of guy who thinks that the barista hates you specifically because they misspelled your name on your coffee cup.
Humans make mistakes. Refereeing is a hard job and it is literally not possible to get every call right
Yea the City owners paying for refs as usual ! Or maybe it was the Saudi owners of Newcastle
Grow up.
Thing is I’m not sure you can quantify it as corruption when these things seem to be falling for/against teams seemingly at random.
Like we’ve had situations where we got lucky, we’ve also had situations like the Mac Allister red card that went against us.
Arsenal have had stuff for and against, as have city.
If there’s corruption, I’m not sure who it’s in favour of? It just seems like rampant incompetence.
