Anyone in, from or interested in Greater Manchester?
I guess this will be more difficult now that the Reddit sub is back online but I’ve set up a Manchester group at !manchester@mcr.town - please feel free to come along, post stuff and have fun!
You might notice it’s on a Manchester-based instance too (mcr.town) - feel free to join that too. It’s a sibling site to our small (but active enough) Mastodon site (mcr.wtf) which is also open to new people
Now I’m confused - if I’m logged into lemmy world, it’s this not just another community that I can subscribe to? Why does the link take me to somewhere with no (obvious) subscribe?

You’re not limited to communities on lemmy.world, but you need to visit them through lemmy.world in order to subscribe.
He’s posted the actual remote link to the community, but here’s a local one that should work for you.
(If you end up on a remote community like that there should usually be instructions on how to subscribe in the sidebar, also)
