I like to buy books so the author gets paid, then pirate it electronically for a searchable / drm free convenient experience.

I also did that with video games back when they were on cd-rom and required the disk to be in to play. I’d buy it, rip an iso of the cd and just use daemon tools instead of the physical disks. Still do that with movies sometimes.

I need to get set back up to torrent stuff with how much media is being pulled from streaming services. My kids were really upset when prodigy got dropped for no reason when we were half way through it.
