Eryri National Park has moved forward a measure to control the number of second homes and Airbnbs. Many coastal and rural areas of Wales have a high proportion of second properties and holiday lets.

While they bring some economic benefit from visitor spending they also push up local house prices - often pricing young people and families out of their communities. Welsh Government has introduced various tools to mitigate the issue - although tourism bosses and the Conservatives believe the focus should be on building more local homes.
