Israel’s “intel” seems to be mass drone surveillance that creates a target out of any moving person using AI,and the use of IR thermal imaging to shoot at things that look hot.

They must be surprised to find out that their own soldiers aren’t cold blooded lizard people.

I mean, the actual boots on the ground are also conscripts with zero experience dealing with people actually shooting back. Conscripted armies, even ones with adequate training, are going to be filled with people who are basically terrified civilians with rifles.

No they’re clearly lost israeli civilians that took the wrong exit on the highway.

Are you accusing those poor innocent israeli civilians of being IDF members all along?

Dunno why anyone should be surprised. Israelis are going into Gaza and shooting at anything that moves Hamas. Such blind violence inevitably results in friendly fire fatalities along with those who have the misfortune of being a human living in an open air prison member of Hamas.

Casualties fell as a result of friendly fire on October 7, but the IDF believes that beyond the operational investigations of the events, it would not be morally sound to investigate these incidents due to the immense and complex quantity of them that took place in the kibbutzim and southern Israeli communities due to the challenging situations the soldiers were in at the time.

      Jesus…

They’re not investigating because it’s so prevalent and would turn Israelis against the war…

I mean, from a cold blooded psychopathic perspective it does make sense. Investigating them means they’re quantified and families know their kid specifically was killed by other IDF members.

Keep it vague and say “it happened a little” and every family can convince themselves it wasn’t their kid, their kid was murdered by Hamas. It keeps all the rage pointed at Palestine instead of at Netanyahu’s government.

You know it is much easier to claim all casualties on the enemy, less uncomfortable questions.
