    So, did all subsequent generations decide to rebel against their father’s wishes? Because none of that seems to be the case for modern policing. Today, it’s basically “comply or die”

        It may have started with Prohibition and Carroll v US, but don’t forget the War on DrugsTM hasn’t helped either. Add in systemic racism, qualified immunity, police unions, corruption, and insufficient training/requirements (compared to what’s required to be a police officer in other countries), and you’ve got a recipe for…well [gestures vaguely in all directions]
