No more business as usual," the organization leading the protest said on social media.

Dozens of Jewish protesters and their allies were arrested on Wednesday morning after they blocked rush hour traffic on a busy Los Angeles highway to demand a ceasefire in Israel’s war on Palestinians in Gaza.

The data is the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Without mass protests nothing gets done in America

Ok but that’s in the place that the thing is happening and by the people affected.

Blocking a street in LA because two soverign nations on the other side of the world are at war with eachother doesn’t really make a lot of sense. America can’t just declare a ceasefire and enforce is, ok well I guess we could but the people asking for that are also the ones who think whine about “American Imperialism” so, pick a lane.

Also Hamas is, by their very charter, against ceasefires and Israel has tried it and then Hamas just starts shooting anyway.

The US could cut off aid, cut off relations altogether, or even sanction Israel. Each act would carry more weight and would force Israel to change course without a single American soldier present in the territory.
