I can’t believe that’s actually true, though. I can get 4lbs of sugar at the store for $3.50. Do they expect people to believe that industrial size 25-50lb bags of sugar are more expensive than lead? And this is supposed to help their case in some way?

I don’t understand how that increases profit though. Sorry if I sound dumb, but isn’t the sugar cheaper than the lead?

Omfg it’s not even about the taste it’s about the color of the fucking applesauce. What kind of fucking hell world is this? Just let it be whatever color apples and cinnamon looks like kids don’t give a shit as long as it tastes good.

It’s an opaque pouch that you stick directly into your mouth. You have to go out of your way to inspect the color. That’s what’s so bananas about this WanaBana scandal.

its maddening isnt it? The pure rage that fills your heart when you learn of these things, every day a new horror, worse than the last, slowly erroding whatever humanity you have left.

It’s because it’s fake ass cinnamon in the first place. It’s a common enough fraud that the manufacturer should’ve been super skeptical, especially for a manufacturer of baby food - probably just thought if they didn’t test that they’d be able to wash their hands of whatever was in it.

          Probably right too…
