The Israel-Hamas war is a war by Israel against anyone they label as Hamas.
Its sort of like the US War on Terror, in so far as I can point and scream “Terrorist” and then everything in that direction needs to die.
I think the difference between those two is the fact that israel does that all the time and people just do not care
