    The author left out a lot of reasons to purchase/own dvds.

    Not every streaming service will have your movie or series available to watch when you want to see it. This is assuming your choice is even available on any service to begin with.

    Not everyone can afford all streaming services all the time. Also, dont forget the additional cost of having the internet in addition to the separate cost of these streaming subscriptions. Financially speaking, owning your dvd will cost less in the long run.

    Another point missed, internet connections are not 100% reliable. Depending on your location you might have time offline due to weather, power outages, security breaches, traffic accidents, data caps, or no service in your area at all.
