Dude asked why our calendar is not consistent… when you start with 365.2425 days, and divide it into the wrong number of months lasting 28/29/30/31 days… things get a bit out of whack.
2017 is correct, 2028 is not.
Because weeks have seven days, and leap year is on a four-year cycle, the days and dates realign on an 11, 11, 6-year pattern.
The next 2023 alignment is 2034 (11), then 2045 (11), then 2051 (6).
Edit: I realize you are referring to the month of December only, and not the entire calendar year. In which case December 2028 does happen to have the same dates because 2028 will be a leap year.
Funnily enough, Arthur’s Perfect Christmas was released in 2000, also a leap year. So that “calendar year” doesn’t completely match 2023 either.

The 2023 calendar matches the calendar in Arthur’s Perfect Christmas. 🎄💫

Same with 2000, 2006, 2011, and 2017. It was probably made in 2000 or 2006 if I had to guess.
I was going to say Arthur was made in the 1990s, but holy shit it has 25 seasons?!
