I’m liking the newer art style. Different enough from what we’ve had from all the NSMB games
I think it looks very beautiful!
I love how well designed the characters look. After so many Mario games using similar models, it’s great to see fun animations and creative liberties for these characters. Gameplay looks awesome and super fun as well. New Super Mario Bros was a blast and here’s hoping this one is too. Day 1 buy.
Loved the scene where Mario enters the pipe but loses his hat and quickly grabs it. The flowers seem pretty funny and entertaining too. Definitely feels like there is a lot more love and attention invested in this one!
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of these games to be honest.
This game is so new. like newer than new. Newer Super Mario Bros
and Daisy is also there, i guess.
Yes, she is a playable character.
Wasn’t expecting to be impressed by a 2D Mario game after New Super Mario Bros. 2 and U. Really excited for this game.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder how high these guys got making this game, amirite?
I guess the mushrooms are finally kicking in
Super Mario Bros: in Linking the Sapient Dream
Finally, a new Art-Style. It’s awesome how animated the Characters are. Mario looking outside the Pipe, holding his hat etc.
Holy cow that’s trippy. The game could be really fun as a result of that style though. It isn’t exactly like Mario wasn’t weird to begin with.
I’m all for trippy Mario games, breaks the boredm of today’s realism games.
Playable Daisy temporarily cured my depression so glad that Daisy is playable in a mainline game (the drugs probably helped) and i think Yoshi is as well cause at 2:00 all 4 are Yoshis and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re the easy character like Toadette or Nabbit with a flutter that they normally have 1:46.
It seems you have to take LSD to get the collectables so do drugs kids?
Hopefully when you play as Yoshi, you get to ride Mario.
As someone who enjoyed the “New Super Mario Bros.” games, this looks absolutely fantastic. 2D Mario has always been my favorite, so I’m super pumped to see something new that’s not “New”. Even though I enjoyed the “New” I think it’s time to move away from “New” to new. Ya know?
Yeah, at first I didn’t like the new style, but as the trailer went on I started to like it more and more. It’s a refreshing update, but it almost reminds me of the style of the older games too in some ways
Only thing I don’t like is the voice-acted talking flowers. I don’t need a voice to pop up and go “wow this is weird and wacky” when something weird and wacky happens.
can this be released today instead of October?!
I’m surprised people care more about Mario RPG with different graphics than this new Mario game. 2D Mario has disappointed us in the past, but this takes leaps and risks Nintendo wasn’t willing to take before. The game actually looks really good, and it’s flaws are found in many other Nintendo games (People are finding the talking flower irritating, despite so many Nintendo titles having irritating side characters). From what I’ve seen from this game, it takes dangerous risks, has a nice art style, and actually has difficulty to it.
This one may feel… weird. But I strongly encourage everyone to give this one a chance, even if it somehow turns out being not great, buying this encourages Nintendo to take more creative risks.
(yes I will admit, this game does seem to look like you’re on drugs.)
I think people are looking for the next quantum leap for mario games. Nothing wrong with a 2D mario platformer, but it has to do more than New Super Mario Bros and Mario Maker 2. Quite frankly I am more interested in Wonder than RPG. RPG is an S-tier game, and it would be nice to replay, but, you know, it’s a super nintendo game. One that anyone could still play right this second.
I’ve seen a lot of comparisons to Rayman Origins/Legends (which I’m a fan of) and that fits. I’m just glad Nintendo is trying something slightly different and making a new 2D Mario.
So, is anyone gonna mention the elephant in the room?
