I was thinking snarky things about ‘rich people and their subs’ when I read about this missing sub. This kid’s bio got to me:
A family statement described teenager Suleman as a “big fan of science fiction literature and learning new things” and having an interest in Rubik’s cubes and playing volleyball, the BBC reported.
Just wanted to talk about it - that kid could be one of us.
If those people are still alive I cannot imagine the nightmare they are going through. Being in a completely dark coffin 12,000ft under water with essentially total strangers waiting for death by suffocation is probably the worst way I can think of to die. Its right there with that guy that got trapped upside down in a cave. I hope it just imploded and they all went quickly.
This 19-year old kid breaks my heart. Yes these billionaires did a very stupid risk and paid the price, but he just went on a trip with his dad.
