i find it much easier to paste the lemmy link like !memes@lemmy.ml into a random textbox, click preview and click the generated link. example !memes@lemmy.ml

No problem if monyet.cc is not federated to them yet. Usually if it is not federated yet refresh the page after a couple of minutes and then you can subscribe.
