This outs people who aren’t ready to come out of the closet on their main or on the accounts their friends and family know about. It can lead to discrimination and violence. And Lemmy has absolutely no built in safeguards against admins on remote instances leaking information about a person. For example, if you ban someone’s account and dox them in the modnote, then any search for their username in any instance’s modlog will contain the dox.
