It’s not about picking a side, it’s about right and wrong. The Hamas attack on 7 October was wrong. Israel’s assault on Gaza is wrong.
Both are terrorist acts, albeit of a different nature. It isn’t worth closely examining which side is worse and why, to do so is harmful to the soul. Both are well above the threshold of what could be acceptable.
Just as there are terrorists on both sides, there are also civilians on both sides. To pick one side over the other is to stand against the civilians of the other.
I stand by the civilians, I stand against the war mongerers, and especially those that profit from war and weapons sales.
