The private subreddits went from 8400+ to now being back to 6900ish today due to the 2 day “protest” time being up.
Seems like most of the reddit mods couldn’t touch grass for more than the allotted protest time, though I’m sure some subreddits go public for a good reason like asking their community whether they should go private indefinitely and all that…
Let’s hope the number will go back up again tomorrow, if not then I guess reddit had a reason to not worry about this “protest”.
Not gonna lie, I’m still browsing reddit from time to time, but that’s because third party apps still work.
Once the API changes are enforced, that will be mostly goodbye from me. There is no chance I will be using the horrible official app nor the website (from the phone).
