I could be wrong, but I don’t believe Speaker McCarthy will offer much resistance to this request. What are your thoughts?

This is my thought as well. Regardless of whether UAPs are prosaic or non-prosaic, there are still accusations under oath of murder and misappropriation of government funds/bypassing government oversight. These things are a big deal.

Not to be too cynical but it seems misappropriated tax dollars are a bigger scandal to the US establishment and public than the secret services killing people in the name of national security.

I believe most people would agree that some state secrets are worth killing for, and if this secret is worth killing for will be a matter of debate.

But I think nobody would agree misappropriating tax dollars or even funding legitimate closed Special Access Programs without government oversight is ever OK.

Unusual bipartisanship in the American political climate is a major clue for me, signifying the importance of this matter, whatever its outcome might be. Typically, the two sides struggle to reach consensus even on basic facts, but here we find them united on this issue. Clearly, something is happening behind the scenes.
