This is very disappointing. Why couldn’t the city work with the buyer instead of fighting them?

    Unless I’m misinterpreting the article, the Phoenix Firm didn’t want to raze the old mall. This seems like a problem since it’s old, not up to code and its just falling apart. They also wanted to turn it into a wearhouse I think? Sounds like the city wants that land to be better used. And they want it razed for up-to-code buildings. In the end that would be cheaper than revitalizing it.
