Extremely disappointing news. Lakemont Park will not open any of their amusement rides in 2024 which includes Leap the Dips which is the world’s oldest coaster.

I missed out on this park last year during a trip to Pittsburgh because I was a couple weeks too early for rides to open. I’m still hoping to check out Leap the Dips eventually but I’m not sure when I’ll be out there again. Another trip to Kennywood would be fun anyways lol
Hopefully the county and/or ACE get somewhere and LtD will open again in the future. There is certainly cause for alarm that it may not run again if someone doesn’t get this management company out of that park. If you need a park to pair with Kennywood you should certainly look at Waldameer… Ravine Flyer II will not disappoint.
