Man, Sakimoto just keeps churning out songs. I hope he keeps going another 15 years.
I’m not familiar with this developer’s work but I should probably at least try Astria Ascending sometime.
The overworld looks beautiful. The battles look like a PS2 JRPG. It has pedigree, and I hope the gameplay can make up for a lacking presentation for what is a major part of any JRPG, but I’ll wait to see. I’ve been burned more than once with JRPG revival titles.
What is this reviving?
Based on the artwork and limited gameplay I can see, the 3d sprite/pre-rendered background era of JPGs, like Chrono Cross, FF7-9, Legend of Dragoon, etc.
