I remember the game had performance issues when the port first released but I’m pretty sure they patched it since then. So is it worth picking up now? Is the DLC available or part of the game already?

If you have the PC for it (or a Steam Deck), get it on Steam. Not only will it look and run better, Steam Workshop is full of amazing community levels, costumes, and custom abilities.
I actually do have the game on steam already, but all I have to (fail to) run it is an old linux laptop I use for work and much lighter games. I don’t disagree though.
