Starfleet respects the spiritual views of all cultures. Note that the Bajorans are allowed to believe in the prophets and the Klingons are allowed to believe in Sto’vo’kor and the Ferengi are allowed to believe in the Divine Treasury and nobody has any problem with it as long as it’s not used as an excuse to hurt someone. Enlightened and rational cultures respect diversity.
