My dumbass cost about $6000 by eating plastic and suffering near kidney failure from not being able to eat.

They finally figured out it was plastic blockage, yanked it out, and she bounced back in a couple days.

Lesson: if your cat likes to chew plastic and starts looking bad, get an ultrasound first.

My friends had a cat that used to lick and chew all the chemical stuff he would have in the reach. After drinking water from under the Christmas tree he almost died of kidney malfunction and that was the moment they were told to observe the cat closely and found out that he drank Fairy, licked the bathtub, you name it. They treated the immediate problem, hidden everything chemical and gave the cat saline shots to keep him hydrated, then the cat lived for another 8 years out of 6 months they were told are going to be his maximum. Unfortunately, the age did him in the end, but it was a long life
