beehaw.org has already become a much bigger instance and they ban lemmygrad, we’re already invisible to half the people using lemmy.
It will keep getting worse, at some point you’ll need to maintain two separate instance accounts and you’ll consider dropping one of them.
why didn’t lemmy staff try to control the liberalification of lemmy? to get more people to use lemmy?
My conjecture based on disagreements I’ve had with them, their goal is to draw in libs so that the marxists actually have people to educate. Without them it kinda became an echo chamber.

most already go “LALALALA I CAN’T HEAR YOU” if you as much as try to debunk them on lies about the russo-ukrainian war, about china, about dprk anyway; and find marxist solutions to be “too radical”.
The ones who block or ban us probably aren’t reachable. We can concentrate on constructive discussions with the ones who are interested in evidence.

I figure there’s only so much that can be done when you have a massive flood of users joining at the same time. Between dev work and administrating lemmy.ml, dessalines and nutomic must be swamped.

I’m kinda doubtful about them. Agreeable says he’s ML, but World News where he is also a mod is notorious for not banning even outright fake NATO propaganda and shills and not just now but even before. Wazowski is inactive and seems to be radlib. K_o_t seems to be some kind of vague green supporting Ukraine, no idea who Maya even is, Arthur Besse idk but posted some ukronazi prop before.
Still I’d assume the sheer amount of new users is too overwhelming
