The wheels are coming off the bus and we aren’t doing anything about it. The less we do with worse it gets.
With these forces it’s hard to conceptualise and understand the scales. But we always hear about ice melting in the ocean making a huge difference.
But what I always wonder is about humidity making a difference. If more water evaporates in the summer wouldn’t that keep temperatures down? Or is the heat force from the air far in excess of the cooling effect of water on land?
Basically what I am wondering is if we had more water storage and managment for summer and more vegetation would that have a large impact on the temperatures of the continent as a whole? Because in my head that’s more important than ice melting but I want to know the science, if anyone knows.
