Then the camera pans out and it’s like a scene out of the Terminator movies. “I’m here to cancel you. Please do not resist. Overcorp thanks you for your cooperation.”

POV: you’re nineteen layers deep into some dark pattern bullshit menus and they’ve finally stopped asking you if you’re really sure, if you want a discount, if you want to proceed with cancelling or you want to cancel cancelling, and every button to proceed is dull grey and every button to go back to passively giving them money is a big friendly blue colour, and now they’ve decided this must be serious and you need to talk to someone about this.

Because think about this, are you really sure?

He stumbled through the alleyway, tripping over himself in an attempt to flee. But he realises too late that it is a dead end.

He turns around and there are 3 officers of karma at the other end. They point their 20MP cancellers as they slowly walk towards him.

One flash and the man feels his ratio take a downward dip through his neurolink. Another flash, as another image is fed into an AI that starts to fabricate an entire history. With each consecutive flash the man gets ratio’d to death.

As he falls over in shock a statement from his employer is published where he is fired publicly, a Twitch Court™ is held where his parentage of his children is taken away, before his head even hit the ground.

The chip in his head requests assisted suicide and it is granted. The built in neural tripwire causes brain death instantly, his body parts already automatically being traded and his body marked for pickup.
