It seems fun, but in no universe would a societal collapse result in safer cities than rural areas. What are they eating? Where do they get water? Where does the waste go? How do they have power? It’s absurd.

Of all the absurdity, you’re focusing on that? The fact that agent stone has effectively walled off everything east of the rocky mountains with a 100 foot wall made of cars is perfectly cromulent to you? 😋

this isnt the type of show to take anything like that seriously. rule of cool is above all else. you can see it in the first episode when john doe spends time to read the mall map while in a car shootout. its just ridiculous fun

Just watched episode 1 last night. It’s entertaining enough but honestly I feel like I’m watching 2010s Rocket Jump on YouTube. Which I did enjoy, but they didn’t want $7/month for it (or $12 with no ads). The animation is a little janky, the humor is a little dated, it’s just passable imo. I guess with the whole season dropped I can watch it over a few weeks but unless they turn it around I don’t know if I’ll finish the season and if somehow there’s a season 2 I doubt I’ll pay for it

i feel it got a lot better after episode 1, the car crashes and stuff doesnt look to be cgi stuff, but real crashes like how they used to do it in movies

I really enjoyed it too. It’s not an amazing show by any means, but it was good, lighthearted fun and I enjoyed all the characters, especially Sweet Tooth. Lots of history on each character that showed us how they got to where they are today.

My wife and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was going to be ass. Also, why now? There’s not been a Twisted Metal game since 2012!

There’s rumored to be one from the same team that did Destruction All-Stars. That game didn’t have enough content to make a lasting impression, but the DualSense features made the combat feel crunchy.

Just finished it, way better than it has any right to be. I thought it was the perfect amount of stupid fun with just enough heart from Mackie and Beatriz to keep it moving along.

I am a little worried that >!moving to a tournament setting!< In season 2 is the wrong move, but they earned some trust with this first season.

There’s plenty wrong with it, but I’m finding it to be a fun watch. Is it as bleak as the games? No, but with the right expectations it’s a good time.
