If you have a pc and (somehow) haven’t played these games, please get this. It’s an absolute steal, and a potato pc could run the first one. A game that is this influential being this cheap is ridiculous

The second isn’t even that hard to run either, I’m pretty sure any modern-ish integrated graphics would be time, or pretty much any GPU.

Shhh, you get them hooked on the first one and the poTaTO running the first one will get upgraded slightly if needed to play the second one. That’s how pc gamers reproduce. Next thing you know, they’re playing modern titles on High graphics and saving up for a ray tracing GPU so they can go Ultra RTX. Ahh, they grow up so fast.

That depends on how many of their games you already own.

Portal and portal 2 are both amazing games however. There are also several complete mod pack stories, with almost as much payability as the base game.

You actually get even more than what little you pay, because owning Portal/2 opens up access to a number of great Portal mods that are free! There’s also the unfathomable depth of custom workshop maps, if you’re inclined to sign up for the infinite testing initiative.

Them putting in a level creator into Portal 2 is probably what I’d say is the absolute best thing they could have done for the game. Over a decade later and you still find people playing the game and uploading new levels. We’re definitely past the heyday of map creation, but at least we still got people creating.
