At first, I’ve thought that this is an overpriced fantasy lego set (which it is), but then it me: Use lego for your tabletop enviroments, minifigs for characters and foes. so obvious, yet so clever :D

      overpriced

At $359.99 for 3745 pieces this actually falls below the $0.10/brick threshold, which is pretty good for a licensed set. Most of the Star Wars sets are higher than that.

Dude, the fucking Blackbird from X-Men '97 is $85, for only 359 pieces. I was so excited to get that set too, but then I saw the price.

$360 for this pretty large set, with plenty of builds within the larger set, seems more reasonable. Just look at that brick-built dragon and beholder. I will say, I’ve been liking the smaller builds within the larger ones lately. The quinjet and chitauri thing from Avenger’s Tower honestly look great, and the Shadowbox Batcave set has all kinds of fantastic little mini builds in it too.

I’m running a game for my kids and their friends. We’re already using medieval sets and mini figs for scenes and battle maps. This is great news in my opinion.

It even comes with an adventure module you can run using the set as terrain and minis.

Ffs of course it’s a massive multi hundred dollar set. I was hoping for something a little more affordable, like a $30 to $50 dice tower with a few minifigs + adventuring gear. Or even a small theme with a range of prices

For that same price, I can get a very, very, very good macro lens for my camera. 400 bucks for something to just collect dust once it is built is a bit punk rock for me. I don’t have money falling out of my butt.
