President Joe Biden on Thursday announced new steps to protect consumers who buy short-term health insurance plans that critics say amount to junk.

A new rule finalized by the Democratic president’s administration will limit these plans to just three months. And the plans can only be renewed for a maximum of four months, instead of up to the three years that were allowed under Biden’s predecessor, Republican Donald Trump.

The Biden administration is also requiring short-term plans to provide consumers with clear explanations of the limits of their benefits.

80 years ago “moderates” and republicans said FDR had to wait another term for universal healthcare…

And we’re still doing bullshit half-assed measures instead of just doing what ever major country got decades ago.

In any other developed country, anything besides universal healthcare would be laughed at as conservative stupidity.

    But not in America…

I mean, 3rd meant staying out of WW2, and we skipped a huge chunk of the beginning and physical distance made us relatively unscathed at the end.

1st and 2nd world countries had shared trauma of being in a war zone to unite them. For Americans it was just the service members sent over seas.

Still horrible, but not as bad and not effecting the majority of the country. Only men of draft age.
