KDE Connect, and if needed, ntfy.sh.
Can vouch for KDE Connect—especially powerful on android.
Ntfy.sh is my go to and croc if I want encryption.
Last time I tried to host Ntfy it was serving up its GUI to unauthenticated visitors. I couldn’t figure out how to prevent that. Is that still going on?
Yes but you can disable the webui with a env variable for docker and dont allow any channel without password, this is the most strict way with ntfy.sh
Yep. Just started self-hosting Ntfy a month ago and it’s still the case
Found something in their FAQ thanks to the other comment:
web-root: disable
option in theserver.yml
file.
Also check out Join, I’m using it to send files, notifications, clipboard etc. to my phone
@LemmyQuest I’m also looking for a self-hostable pushbullet alternative. But also want that messages are automatically deleted after X days.
Looks like its not possible with #gotify or #ntfysh@LemmyQuest I’ve looked at #ntfysh and liked the setup and config possibilities.
In the app you have a setting to delete pushes after X days/weeks.
But i don’t like the sticky notification from the Android App. Have to look at it.My setup from today is saved at https://github.com/pred2k/ntfy.sh-setup
