ALLEN COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) - A former Allen County Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) in connection to child sex crimes.
According to the KBI, they arrested Michael Tennyson, 24, of Iola, at about 7:15 p.m. on Friday, March 29 at the Allen County Sheriff’s Office following a missing persons case that was investigated by the Hays Police Department. Tennyson was arrested for aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
In January 2024, Tennyson was newly hired as a deputy for the Allen County Sheriff’s Office. His employment was terminated Friday when the allegations became known.
They sure do come up with some forced sounding terms in Bible Land states. “Indecent liberties” is a terrible phrase for sexual assault.
It’s how they try to insulate themselves from the natures of their crimes.
