I’m personally learning Mandarin Chinese for fun and watching media.

I’ve been learning German since high school, because I always wanted to learn a second language. I started with German because my older cousin took German.

I started learning Toki Pona a couple years ago, because it’s the simplest constructed language, and it seems to have a great online community. I’ve fallen off the wagon a bit on that, and I need to get back on.

More recently, I’ve starting to learn Korean. My husband asked me to teach him German, and it inspired me to try something new myself. I wanted to learn a language with a different alphabet, and I loved the style of the Korean alphabet. Plus, music helps me learn, and there’s tons of k-pop. I’ve seen some really good South Korean movies, and this gives me a reason to seek out more of them. Yes, I’m aware Korean is one of the hardest languages for English speakers to learn. I have the rest of my life to try.

Not sure why this is in the dating community, but nice question for casual conversation.

I’m forever learning French. Why? Languages are cool, I like media from Québec and it’s widely spoken across the globe.

J’oserai dire j’ai un niveau intermédiaire mais c’est très difficile d’atteindre un niveau expert sans l’immersion.

Hey I selected the wrong community by mistake lol. In terms of dating, it’s not a bad way to meet new people. I used to go to language exchanges and it’s actually a good way to work on your conversational skills.

I usually watch interesting things on Youtube. Like I watch people’s review of my city and restaurants. There are also plenty of interesting documentaries. Or I read the news.
