Just what the title says. I’m taking atomoxetine since 13 months, and this week will be my first psychological session. I’ve severe ED issues, to the point I can’t do almost anything productive (including meditation itself), no matter how much I want to.

Giggles in immaturity I understand what you mean by that acronym but it means a different thing.

There’s also the fact that atomoxetine has orgasm dysfunction as a potenial side effect.

Sexual dysfunction as a medication side effect gets downplayed way too much - my partner was on DepoPrevera and that shit has lifetime consequences for your libido.

Never took any of those, but noticed the opposite effect with methylphenidate and it sucks.

IDK if there are other enviromental factors involved, but atomoxetine killed most of my anxiety which turned out to be where most of my “motivation” to do certain things (e.g.: work) came from and now I just don’t care for the most part.

Also, my universal healthcare therapist discharged me about a year ago and I just stopped going to the psychiatrist.

Fwiw I’m also on strattera, but I’ve gotten the most help from lifestyle changes and study techniques. Stuff like making sure I always clip my keys and work badge to my work bag, and using optimal stimulation theory for everything from studying for school tests to paying attention in work meetings.

You’ll have to try it and see if it works for you. It hasn’t been studied as much, but there is evidence some people find better success with a low dose of a stimulant (or sometimes welbutrin) along with the atomoxitine versus either one by itself.

Depending on where you are in the world (i.e. Japan) some stimulants might be legal - Concerta seems to have the widest international availability.
