This literally just happened to me.

    So I was arachnophobic.

But then I did a bunch of ayahuasca and spiders don’t freak me out any more. They’re cute.

So I’m sitting in my bedroom with the lights off, using my laptop on the floor. I turn on the lights and a spider freezes a few inches from the computer.

I wondered why he got so close. Little guy about tbe sje of a quarter. I cite tally wefwef app doesn’t scroll down so after a point you can’t read what you type. Sorry if it’s a shut show of typos I can’t see the text.

I’m feeling nice about not being afraid any more. I’m kinda lonely anyway. I realize Ove got a little spider friend. I did my best to send friendly thoughts his way

Oh shit O think I moved the cursor trying to read the text. Oh well we’ll find out.

Little guy received happy friendly thought waves and doesn’t scurry away quite as fast as he otherwise might have.

Then later that night I instinctively slap at my neck when I feel something crawling on it and it was my spider roommate!

    Sad

When I lived in Europe I had a pact with the spiders in my home. They would stay up on the ceiling and I would not bother them but if they came down they had to die. They knew what they got themselves into.

Now I live in Africa and have a strict “no spider anywhere in the house” policy. Some spiders here can be rather unpleasant roommates. (The exception are jumping spiders. They are mostly nice and can stay if they do not come too near)
