I film street. Long time I did it on classic film. Now shoot digital. A long time i couldn’t understand why my digital fotos are not so good.

I didn’t knew the reason. Then i bought Nikon v1 with 10mm (30mm equivalent). It gave me so much freedom. Then i figured that it has a Phase Focus system. Which is faster then usual contrast focus system on digital.

So, im searchin for small and cheap street digital.). I know about Samsung nx 300 and nx 500. They have Phase Focus. May be you know what else has it

    Most mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras, and even a decent amount of DSLR cameras, have phase detect autofocus.

    What are you looking for specifically? From a pure size perspective, the Nikon 1" cameras (J1 - J5 and V1/V2) are going to be hard to beat. They’re all out of production though. From there the next size up is Micro Four Thirds. Some of those cameras, like the EM5III do pack phase detect autofocus.

    That said, I started digital photography with a Nikon D40 that lacked phase detect autofocus. DSLRs focus the same way your classic film camera did, so you shouldn’t be having a problem with AF accuracy. Phase detection is used to enable faster autofocus - it lets the camera know which way it has to focus (closer or further).

    The ricoh GR series are fast, but because they have a “snap” focus function that you can use to shoot a pre-set focus distances by just pressing the shutter button. If you have a low aperture (say f8), focusing at 3 m is guaranteed to have pretty much anything you see in focus.

    The most current models (GR III and GR IIIx) are not cheap though. They have great image quality, and almost a cult following; since Ricoh hasn’t kept up with demand, they’re never in stock and even used they’re pretty expensive (unlikely to find anything used for under 600€).

    However some people swear by the older models (e.g. GR III digital, which is not the same as GR III) and praise their color reproduction, even if their low light quality is very far from current standards.
