Loud pipes save sports
I was in Monaco last year and it was already unbearably loud. OK Monaco is special with all the reverb that concentrates the sound but yeah, trust me, it was plenty loud enough.
I understand the appeal of revving sounds but I think that Formula E’s audible tire screeching has its own audible appeal.
Sound has always been an important cue in racing, and it’s very hard to adjust to the faint spaceship noises when you’ve watched hundreds of thermic races. I really want to get into Fe but unfortunately I haven’t found any local broadcaster showing the races live. I think it would really help me adjust and increase my excitement to watch those fights live.
Install one of those free VPN browser extensions (I use Urban VPN) and set the destination to Puerto Rico. You can watch the sessions on their YouTube for free then.
