    It’s a figure of speech, but the argument is that eventually, the line for what’s considered “decent” will sufficiently restrict art to the point that much of it dies, along with the ability of creators to avoid self-censorship.

        No problem. I figured something was lost in translation. That said, I’d love to see the original interview, if partially to improve my practice at something akin to interpretation, which I would love to get into.

          Indeed. Translating from Japanese is hard, even more so Japanese that involve figurative expressions and idioms (that are already usually hard to translate to and from any language to begin with).
