I just watched trailers for Transformers One and the new Crow film on Fandango and was turned off by both of them as I watched them.

Mostly because they were being hyped up as comedies or action films that are just made to sell more tickets whatever they’re playing.

I think American cinema has been going downhill for years, but I am curious about trying a movie theater one day to watch something meaningful, and not just spend money on entertainment alone.

I hope I can find something to watch, but what do you guys think?

There have always been good and bad movies over the decades. There are good movies out there by American companies, you just have to find them. The better quality movies tend to be released in the fall… closer to awards season.

Haven’t seen the new Crow trailer, but Transformers doesn’t do it for me. The only real Transformers that resembles the 80s cartoon for me was the first ten minutes or so of Bumblebee.

The Crow should’ve ended with the first movie. It didn’t need to be a franchise. Especially after Brandon Lee died.

To expect a reboot/sequel/prequel to be good is asking too much. Those are few and far in-between. Be surprised when it happens… like with Dune.
