    I fuckin’ love this band.

Can anybody explain the site to me? What’s yewtu.be?

I obviously missed something about how urls work over the last couple of years… Jesus I’m getting old.

I grew up in So Cal and the Vandals were part of my mis-spent youth, lol.

So, you know how youtube.com is part of the Goog empire? They track everything you watch, sell that data to advertisers, get ticked at you when you run an ad blocker, etc…?

Well, Invidious is a chunk of software anyone can install which acts like a new front-end for youtube.com. They block Goog from know who’s really watching the video, get it without ads, and so on. You just watch the video, free and clear of that BS. It’s slightly slower because of the process going on under the hood but it’s a lot better experience.

yewtu.be is someone’s installation of Invidious. It’s probably the largest in terms of traffic, but there are lots of other Invidious servers online now.

In any case, just sit back and enjoy. When you see a yewtu.be link, just think “That’s just like youtube.com except without the BS”

I always assumed that burt b thing was the band just mucking around. I’m pretty sure the song is by Focus, a German band from the 70s.

FYI - Focus are actually from Netherlands.
Don’t worry about it though the Dutch are pretty cool with being confused for the Deutsch. (/s)

But yeah just them arsing about on the sleeve for the first version - I think its credited properly on the actual disc label and on reissues.

I’m just really wondering if there’s any relationship between Foucuses “Akkerman” and Vandals “Ackerman”.
There’s basically no info online about them.

FYI - Focus are still around - playing the odd gig in Europe - still with Thijs van Leer - he’s slightly less vivacious than some of the old youtube videos. No Jan Akkerman these days though.
