Bad enough I have weather alerts popping up on my screen while driving that I can’t disable and have to manually interact with so I can see my map.

So why not have ads, it seems like the logical next step. I had to fight with Sirusxm to stop the pop up ads when I bought the car.

Does this happen when you have the phone physically plugged into the car or when using the built in software in the car?

I’d be surprised if it was when the phone was plugged in and using apple play or the android equivalent.

Using Android Auto the weather alert pops up over AA, there is no way to disable the alert either unless I disconnect the antenna. It’s a Chrysler Pacifica 2020, there are posts from people that say you can disable it but the suggested setting is nowhere on my vehicle. I swear if I ever get in an accident because of it I am sueing Stalantis since Its a distraction to have popups.

Talk about a design flaw. I’m guessing it’s something unique in your infotainment system that is allowing the ads.

I can imagine people stuck at a stop sign waiting for their unskippable ad to finish before it tells them which way to turn
