Excellent shave this morning! Lavender Noir is a subtly dark, lavender scent that just hits all the boxes. Once I tried the splash, I knew I had to get the soap as well.
Is that soap in his new base? If so, can you tell much difference? I’m quite pulled towards his Signature (bourbon and tobacco) soap that’s in the new soap base.

It’s in the Ultima base. I couldn’t really tell much of a difference over the Kaizen base, but it was only my first shave with it. Maybe it’s a little thirstier, but good performance nonetheless. Signature does look like it would be nice.

Single pass head shave, a bit rushed - therefore not very smooth.
Personally I really like ZMs’ soaps, even though there’s the controversy about the name and the prices are quite expensive. Navigator is a fresh aquatic scent, nice for the summer. I tried to pair it with something equally fresh for aftershave and fragrance. While Apocalypse certainly fits the bill, Riflesso Blue Vibe is a bit more boozy and unfortunately, like most EdTs, not much staying power for me. That’s just my unlucky case though as I can’t spray any fragrances directly on my skin anymore - I purely rely on applying it to my clothes and everything under EdP concentration is not very suitable for that. I really like this scent though, it’s a very unique combination compared to the usual perfumes (even though the fragrantica reviews are quite mixed).
