It sure seems like there were some serious concerns ahead of the shooting and I’m astounded there isn’t a policy in place where anyone at whatever level of the command structure could call a code word and immediately put the candidate in full protection mode until the all clear was given.

Sounds like another Uvalde excuse where command structure wasn’t clear cut, quick to react, and decisive, but I guess we will see.

I’m sure they do, and the word is probably just “gun”. Seems like nobody called it, though.

That’s because even the secret service is security theater and many are playing dress up. They aren’t actually prepared when shot goes down. A public librarian, social worker, or nurse will react better.

A librarian will react better than someone trained, albeit inexperienced? I doubt it. The USSS agent should act equally or better on average, probably much better.

You have no idea what bullshit public librarians put up with and they don’t carry guns.

Yeah, some dipshit keeps coming in and moving the Bible and koran to the fiction section to take pictures for /r/atheism. THATS NOT HOW THE DEWEY DECIMAL SYSTEM WORKS. This is worse than Dachau.
