My best friend’s parents were like this. Minute he turned 18 he was told to hit the road and they did nothing to support him. My family took him in for well over a year at one point; and yet once when I was down on my luck and his family let me stay with them, but after less than a week, during which I was the most polite and respectful person possible and worked my job every day and made sure to leave the place like I wasn’t even there at all, they decided I HAD to go, immediately. There’s no hate like Christian love I guess.
